Ambajogai is cultural capital of Marathwada region. It is also well known educational center.A crisis of ideal (able) and dedicated selfless leadership is one of the problems of free India. Post independence scenario of India shows us the real picture. Conventionally it said that leaders are born they are not made. Founder of Jnana Probodhini Dr. Appasaheb Pendse with his studies proved it that leaders are made and they can be motivated to rebuild modern India. Initial process was limited up to motivating intelligence for social change. During the progressive unfoldment the thought enriched to “Start with the identified gifted and reach up to the potentially gifted”. With this the concept of extension center evolved. These centers all over the state will replicated Jnana Prabodhini’s innovations in the field of education, rural development, youth organizational activity and research appropriate to the local needs.

Ambajogai is the cultural capital of Marathwad. The city has a great legacy of educational, social and cultural leaders like Shri Mukundraj, Shri. Dasopant and the great freedom fighter Swami Ramananda Tirth. It was the right place to start the work of Jnana Prabodhini. The first extension center of Prabodhini was started at Ambajoagi in 1999.
