Paul Goldberg (ice hockey)

Paul Goldberg (Born in 1967 in Escondido, California) is the Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL.

Education

Paul Goldberg earned his B.Sc in Physiology at the Western State College of Colorado and his masters degree in nutrition and exercise at Colorado State University.

Paul Goldberg is certified by the American Dietetics Association as a Registered dietitian and CSSD, the National Strength & Conditioning Association, and USA Weightlifting - Level I

Before Hockey

Before joining the Avalanche training staff, Goldberg served as assistant strength coach at Colorado State University for 4 years and as head strength coach at Eastern Michigan University for 1 year.

Hockey

Paul Goldberg joined the Colorado Avalanche organization in the summer of 1999 as Strength and Conditioning Coach and Dietitian.

In his position, Paul oversees the year-round conditioning program of players throughout the Avalanche system and works closely with the team medical staff on player rehabilitation needs. He also constructs the summer workout regime for all the players, specifying the workouts and conditioning programs to the specific individual needs of each player.

He won the Stanley Cup with Colorado in 2001.
