"Bing With A Beat" was Bing Crosby's seventh long play album, but his first recorded with RCA Victor.

"Bing With A Beat" is a concept album where all the songs feature "hot" jazz and dixieland arrangements by the bandleader Bob Scobey.

John Lennon's friend, Elliot Mintz, in a televised interview marking the 20th anniversary of Lennon's death, mentioned this album while elaborating on Lennon's interest in Crosby's music:
