LiveProcess

LiveProcess

LiveProcess, is a company that provides a web-based software solution that allows multiple hospitals, using their platform, to communicate in a common language; specifically in situations such as disasters.

The need for this type of system was exposed during the events of the September 11, 2001 attacks and brought more into the public spotlight following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

The platform is web-based, enterprise software and can be accessed with any internet connection and browser.

History

Founded in 2003, in Westfield, New Jersey, to help the healthcare industry to be prepared in disaster situations; LiveProcess gives multiple hospitals a common platform to communicate. Most hospitals currently use separate, internal methods of communication.

According to an article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Georgia Division of Public Health allocated $3.4 million from a $13.6 million bioterrorism preparedness grant from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration to make Georgia the first state to adopt the platform statewide.

LiveProcess was awarded the AHA Endorsement for its disaster readiness and incident command solutions for hospitals in February 2008.
