"Gerardia "L. (syn. "Stenandrium" Nees) is a genus of flowering plants in the family Acanthaceae. It was once used as the generic name for the genus "Agalinis", but based on the rules of of the ICBN (Art. 53) it is an illegitimate later homonym of "Gerardia" L. (1753) that is now unavailable for use "Agalinis".

The genus is named for the English herbalist John Gerard (1545-1611/2). "Stenandrium" is still preferred because of its widespread and historical use.
