Tal Menashe ( _he. טל מנשה), is an
Israeli settlement located onMount Amir in theSamaria n hills on the northwestern edge of the of theWest Bank . The village, under the administrative municipal government of theShomron Regional Council , is adjacent toHinanit andShaked . The village is named afterMenasseh since it is located on land allotted to theTribe of Menasseh , and has absorbed a community of "Bnei Menashe " fromManipur andMizoram . [http://www.bnei-menashe.org] It is the only OrthodoxJewish settlement in northern Samaria since other communities were destroyed as a result ofIsrael's unilateral disengagement plan . Thevillage was founded in 1999 on state lands by a group ofIsraeli s from akollel inMevaseret Zion .The village's
chief rabbi is Rabbi Reuven Uziel who also serves as the main rabbi of the northern Samarian communities.External links
