David Leopold

David Leopold

Dr David Leopold is a fixed term fellow in Politics at Mansfield College, Oxford University. Probably most well known amongst readers for his much disputed interpretation of Max Stirner's major work "The Ego and Its Own" in his introduction to the Cambridge University Press edition of the book.

David is interested in both political theory and the history of political thought. He has published widely in the history of nineteenth-century political thought, including work on Hegel and (left) Hegelianism, Karl Marx, utopianism, and anarchism.
