Eric Leme Walther Maleson (born
August 11 ,1967 ) is the founder and president of theBrazilian Ice Sports Federation (affiliated to theBrazilian Olympic Committee in 1999). He was born inRio de Janeiro ,Brazil . Maleson is Brazil's firstbobsled pilot having competed at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City (4-man bobsled event), has served on theInternational Luge Federation (FIL) development Committee (2002-2006), is a member of the International Bobsled/Skeleton Federation's (FIBT) internal court of arbitration, and a member of the 2007 Pan American Games organizing Committee.Maleson was voted one of the top ten most influential sports figures in Brazil (2002) and was the first Brazilian athlete to carry the Olympic Torch during the Salt Lake City torch relay event (December 2001)
