San Francisco Coacalco is a city in Mexico State, Mexico. It is the seat of the Coacalco de Berriozábal municipality and forms part of the Greater Mexico City conurbation. The municipality of Coacalco de Berriozábal

Although both the city and the municipality are both simply called "Coacalco" the municipality's official name includes "de Berriozábal" to honor General Felipe de Berriozábal who signed the order declaring the city a municipality on February 12, 1862.

As municipal seat, San Francisco Coacalco has jurisdiction over the following communities: Basurero Municipal (La Aurora), Bosques de Coacalco, and Propiedad Díaz:
