Prvić is a small
island in theCroatia n part ofAdriatic Sea . It is situated in theŠibenik archipelago, about half a mile from the mainland, in the vicinity ofVodice . The name of the island was possibly derived fromPrvin , the name of the pre-Christian Croatian god of spring. There are no cars on the island. Šepurine is located on the west side of the island opposite Vodice. Prvić Luka is situated in biggest bay on the south-east side and it is well protected from northern and western winds. Famouspolymath Faust Vrančić is buried in Prvić Luka as this island was the summer residence of his family.References
