Grand Rapids, Michigan . In 1968, he graduated fromSaint Cloud State University inSt. Cloud, Minnesota . Hill received hisJuris Doctor in 2005 from theConcord School of Law .Hill was elected to Congress in 1996, defeating
Bill Yellowtail , and representedMontana's At-large congressional district fromJanuary 3 1997 untilJanuary 3 ,2001 . Due to health problems, Hill did not seek reelection. Prior to his election in Congress, he served as a local committeeman and a state committeeman fromLewis and Clark County for the Republican Party. He is currently a resident ofHelena, Montana .Hill was a member of the board of directors of the
Montana Science and Technology Alliance as well as the chairman of the Montana State Worker's Compensation Board from 1993 from 1996. In 2005, he spoke out in favor ofJohn Glover Roberts, Jr. 's nomination forChief Justice of the United States with other Montana Republicans.External links
