CalLUG

CalLUG is the GNU/Linux user group for UC Berkeley. Also known as the CalGNU/LUG, the group had a name change to promote the separation of the GNU operating system and the Linux kernel as requested by Richard Stallman.

It was re-established in August 2005 by Ryan Waliany and Dmitriy Shirchenko. Since then, CalLUG has had prominent speakers including Richard Stallman and Chris DiBona.
