Luis Gerardo Oliveros (born

When no one claimed him, he was assigned to Single-A Inland Empire again. Later he was recalled to Double-A San Antonio. WhenGuillermo Quiroz was injured late in the 2006 season, Oliveros became the everyday catcher for the Double-A San Antonio Missions. Oliveros ended 2006 with just five RBI in 153at bat s in theTexas League in 2006.On
September 14 , 2006, Oliveros was announced as the bullpen catcher for the Mariners for the remainder of the 2006 season. Oliveros became afree agent after theWorld Series .Oliveros played in the
Venezulan Winter League during the winter of 2006. In March by|2007, Oliveros was invited tospring training by the Mariners, but he didn't make the team and spent the entire season with the Double-A West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx.
