state highway inBland County, Virginia ,United States . It runs south from an intersection with U.S. Route 52 and State Route 42 in Bland to a point beyond State Route 656. [TheNational Bridge Inventory lists two bridges on SR 98 over Crab Orchard Creek; one of them is south of SR 656.] The road continues southeast 1.6 miles (2.6 km) as State Route 605 to a dead end north ofBig Walker Mountain .The route was added to the state highway system in 1931 as State Route 26Y, a spur of State Route 26 (now U.S. Route 52).
