The Kurdistan football team is the official football team for Kurdistan. A team representing Kurdistan lost a friendly match 3-0 to the Iraq U-23 national team.

The Kurdistan team played in the 2008 VIVA World Cup finishing in the 4th place after a 3 - 1 loss against Sápmi.Their first ever win, and the only one till the moment was in that tournament in the match against Provence.
