"Return to the Promised Land" is a gospel music soundtrack by American country singer Johnny Cash, first released in 1992 as the soundtrack to the movie of the same name, and re-released in 2000 on Renaissance Records with bonus tracks. Only 2,000 copies of the CD were released, making this album quite rare.

The bonus tracks are from an unrelated January 15, 1993 demo session Cash did while searching for a new record company. He would eventually sign with Rick Rubin's American Recordings label, and see a period of career revival. One song (not included here) from that same demo session, "Drive On," would later be recorded for "American Recordings".
