Lara Cazalet's first major acting role was as drug addict Zandra Plackett in Series 1 and 2 of "Bad Girls" (1999–2000). The character of Zandra was killed off from a brain tumour shortly after becoming a mother. After a number of years in guest and supporting roles (including "Hustle", "Waking the Dead" and "
Judge John Deed " for the BBC, together with "The Bill " for ITV), Lara returned in 2006 as a main cast member for the BBC's "New Street Law ", playing barrister Annie Quick.References
