Ralitsa Vassileva ( _bg. Ралица Василева, born in
Sofia, Bulgaria ) is aCNN International television news anchorwoman . She has covered theBosnian War , theArab-Israeli conflict , and many other major international issues. She has interviewed many world leaders, includingMikhail Gorbachev ,Ariel Sharon ,Henry Kissinger , and others.Vassileva was educated in Sofia, Bulgaria and New Delhi, India, and graduated from
Sofia University . She worked forBulgarian National Radio in 1987 as an English translator and announcer, and from there made the transition to reporting. She became a reporter forBulgarian National Television in 1990, and transferred to CNN in 1992.Trivia
