ERO may refer to:

* Elementary row operations, in mathematics, certain operations that are performed on the rows of a matrix
* The New Zealand Education Review Office
* Edge recombination operator, which creates a path that is similar to given parents, used for crossover in genetic algorithms
* The European Radiocommunications Office, which is the permanent office supporting a European-wide harmonisation of the CEPT member countries for radio-regulatory matters
* The Eugenics Record Office, which was a center for eugenics and human heredity research in America for the first half of the twentieth century.
* The Electronic Return Originator, an ERO is a person or firm that taxpayers entrust with tax information for the purpose of filing income tax returns electronically to the IRS. An Authorized IRS e-file Provider is a tax professional or firm who is accepted into the IRS electronic filing program. One type of Authorized IRS e-file Provider is an Electronic Return Originator (ERO).
