Alejandro Antonio "Alex" Prieto [pre-AY-to] (born June 19, 1976 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a Major League Baseball second baseman and right-handed batter who is currently a free agent. Prieto played for the Boston Red Sox AAA-affiliate, the Pawtucket Red Sox in by|2007. Prieto's only Major League experience came playing for the Minnesota Twins.

In two seasons, Prieto has batted .209 with one home run and four RBI in 24 games.
