Controlling the Famous

Controlling the Famous was a Los Angeles, California-based indie rock band. After signing with The Militia Group, the band recorded "Automatic City", which was released on May 16th, 2006. They also released a joint album with indie-band Operatic.

Members of Controlling the Famous have moved onto new bands in the Los Angeles area. Drummer Mike Schneider now plays in the band State to State, and Max Hellmann plays guitar in the band Handshakes with members of defunct bands Wintergreen and Sputnik Monroe [1].
