It is located in the City's southeast quadrant at the intersection of Macleod Trail and Anderson Road, and across the street from the AndersonC-Train Station, in the neighborhood of Willow Park. The mall is owned and operated byIvanhoe Cambridge .First opened in 1974, the mall underwent major expansions in 1986, 1988 and 2000. The most recent expansion added approximately 20 stores and a new, three level department store, originally designed for
Eatons . However, due to the closure of the Eatons chain during construction, the space ultimately opened as Sears. As a result the store contains a large circular 3 storeyescalator hall.The mall also contains a
food court and parking structure, and covers two complete floors in a 'racetrack' layout.Future Expansion
The mall has begun expansion, which is taking place in the eastern portion of the mall. Future expansion includes a new
food court on the eastern side of the mall and redevelopment of the old food court. In addition to this many new American stores are expected to open in the near future.Restoration Hardware is opening its first Alberta location, in fall 2008, in Southcentre.Anchors
