Carwise Middle School

Joseph L. Carwise Middle School is a grade 6-8 middle school in Palm Harbor, Florida. It currently has about 1,400 students. The current principal is Garrison T. Linder.

Carwise Middle has several programs. These include MEGSSS, a highly advanced math program which, by 8th grade, teaches 9th grade math course Algebra I and 10th grade course Geometry. There is also IMAST, which teaches science. These IMAST courses are the same topics as all of the other students, but with a more accelerated pace.

Carwise also is notable for having a very successful Chorus and Band, the Carwise chorus is one of the must successful in the state receiving superior rating every year, which is offered as an elective. They also have 6 different band classes, which include beginning band, intermediate band, advanced band, beginning orchestra, advanced orchestra, and a jazz band, who participate in different competitions across the state and receive superior ratings at every competition. 8th graders get to do archery in their gym class and can participate in the 8th grade dance.
