Seaweed is a rock musician from North Carolina, United States. He was a longtime feature in the cult Horror punk band Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 with Wednesday 13. Seaweed went on to play in another horror punk band The Graveyard Boulevard in which he was the vocalist and bassist.

Currently Seaweed is involved in a solo Industrial rock project under the name "needleHole".

Biography

Seaweed first became involved musically with future Frankenstein Drag Queens band-mates Wednesday 13 and Sicko Zero when he acted as the music tech for the Charlotte, North Carolina band Maniac Spider Trash, he forged a strong friendship with 13 and formed the Frankenstein Drag Queens with him and Zero in 1996, playing as the band's bassist.

He would stay with the controversial band, who played horror punk music, in dresses and make-up with a zombie drag queen image, until 2000. Although he was not in the band at the time (2001) Seaweed also recorded on the final full-length Frankenstein Drag Queen album "Viva Las Violence", before the group split up the same year with 13 going on to play in the Murderdolls.

In 2002, along with Abby Normal and Sicko Zero, Seaweed formed another horror punk group in Charlotte, called The Graveyard Boulevard this time he took on vocal duties as well as playing bass guitar. He recorded one album with the band "Toe Tags & Body Bags" before leaving in 2005 due to personal reasons.

Briefly he joined electro group Electra-Kill with former Frankenstein Drag Queen member R.S. Saidso. Though this was a very short arrangement as Seaweed instead decided to concentrate on his solo Industrial rock project; needleHole.

Recent times

The Frankenstein Drag Queens reformed in 2006, with original members Wednesday 13, Sicko Zero, and The Graveyard Boulevard guitarist Abby Normal after patching up differences, Seaweed however did not rejoin due to rumoured relationship strains with 13.

Seaweed has continued with his Industrial rock project which takes influences from glam rock. As of 2006 he has released 5 songs, free for download via the projects MySpace profile under the needleHole name.

Now Seaweed has joined the band Astrid Haven and the Shock-Pop Allstars, playing bass. They have a myspace: http://www.myspace.com/shockpop.

Seaweed left Astrid Haven to rejoin The Graveyard Blvd. Seaweed would play a hand full of shows until leaving the band again due to creative differences.
