Helmut Wiesinger (born
January 28 ,1952 inLinz ,Austria ) is an Austrianactor ,author andstage director .After he gained a university-entrance diploma in
1971 , he studied acting at the renownedBrucknerkonservatorium in Linz. Besides, he was active as narrator, host and author for the Austrian television ORF.After he finished his studies in
1975 , he was engaged at several German theatres. In1979 , he returned to Austria and became a member of the then famous theatre ensemble “Die Komödianten” (“The Comedians”). After their break-up he became a freelance actor and author.Since
1998 he is a member of the ensemble of the “Landestheater Niederösterreich” inSankt Pölten . Without doubt, Wiesinger’s main focus was and is stage theatre, but he also participated in some TV productions, for example “Julia – eine ungewöhnliche Frau” (“Julia – An Extraordinary Woman”) along with the famous Austrian actressChristiane Hörbiger . Another aspects of his work include several plays and literary acts.Helmut Wiesinger lives in
Vienna .
