- Greg Tannen
Greg Tannen is an American songwriter and performer based out of New York City. He is the grandson of a magician (Louis Tannen) and the son of an amateur jazz piano player. Born in Sydney, Australia, he traveled and lived in various places including Toronto, Colorado, and California, before settling down in Manhattan. During his travels he developed his mixture of folk and rock that can be heard today.
A prolific songwriter, he won numerous international songwriting awards including the UNISONG Songwriting Contest, John Lennon Songwriting Contest (with his brother Steve Tannen), and the USA Songwriting Competition. Both his debut album, "Roam", and his follow up album, "Coney Island", were chosen as one of Performing Songwriter's Top 12 Independent Releases of the Year. He has a side project with his brother Steve called the Tannen Brothers. His band members include Andrew Sherman, Whynot Jansveld, Richard Hammond, Chris Benelli, & Craig Benelli.
