Jeannot Volpé (born
June 28 ,1950 in Saint-Jacques,New Brunswick ) is a Canadianpolitician in the Province of New Brunswick.He graduated from the
University of Moncton in 1973 with aBachelor of Physical Education degree and taught school until 1980. He waselected to theLegislative Assembly of New Brunswick in 1995 and re-elected in 1999, 2003 and 2006.He represents the
electoral district ofMadawaska-les-Lacs and was a member of the cabinet from 1999 to 2006. OnDecember 19 2006 , he was electedinterim leader of theProgressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick , he became leader of the opposition in the Legislature uponBernard Lord 's resignation from that role onJanuary 31 2007 .Volpé married former Progressive Conservative MLA
