WHOO is the callsign for 1080 WHOO - Orlando's ESPN, an AM sports radio station in Orlando, Florida, United States. It broadcasts at a medium-wave frequency of 1080 kHz. It is owned by Genesis Communications. It broadcasts from a 27 kW transmitter in Winter Park, Florida and a 19 kW transmitter in Kissimmee, but both are drastically reduced in power in the evening (to 2 kW and 190W, respectively).

WHOO is the Orlando area affiliate for ESPN Radio. Currently it picks up all four hours of "Mike and Mike in the Morning" and the first two hours of "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" (10am-12pm), as well as overnight programming. The only week-long local talk show is hosted by Brady Ackerman and Jerry O'Neill from 3pm until 6pm weekdays. Before mid-2007, it was 4pm-7pm and featured Terry Bowden. They are also the local affiliate for the Tampa Bay Rays, the Jacksonville Jaguars, as well as NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

The WHOO calls were used on AM 990 in Orlando, which is now WDYZ, from 1947 to 1987 and then again from 1988 to 2001.

AM 1080 began operations in 1965 as 10,000-watt daytimer WKGF, with a Christian religious format, then became country WFIV ("The Big Five") in 1966. The country format continued until 1995, when WFIV switched to a Spanish popular music format as "Radio Selecta." WFIV then went to a Christian talk format as "Genesis 1080" in 2000. The following year, the WHOO calls moved to 1080 from 990, along with AM 990's adult standards music format, followed by a change to the current sports format in 2002.

In 2008, after rival sports station WQTM changed formats, WHOO began calling itself "The Only Game in Town". It picked up the first two hours (Noon-2pm) of "The Jim Rome Show" on January 8, and took the third hour of the show beginning on April 25, the day of the Jim Rome Smack-Off. Prior to picking up Jim Rome, the station carried all three hours of Colin Cowherd and "Tirico and Van Pelt".

On January 21, Jerry O'Neill, formerly a stalwart on WQTM, joined WHOO. He abruptly quit Clear Channel Orlando a week after moving from WQTM to 540 WFLA.

On 2008-08-01, sister station WIXC in Titusville, which simulcast WHOO for Brevard County, shifted to a Country music format. [ [http://www.radio-info.com/news/index.php?date=2008-07-23 Radio-Info.com News for July 23, 2008] ]
