"Verse Chorus Verse" (often mislabeled in bootlegs as "In His Hands" or "In His Room") is a song by American grunge band Nirvana. The song was performed live or during soundchecks in the '90-'91 era and was recorded during the "Nevermind" sessions.

In an early draft of the song, found in Kurt Cobain's "Journals", the lyrics included the line "at the end of rainbows and of your rope," which was published in "Nevermind's" liner notes. The song's name was also used in a later Nirvana recording, more commonly known as "Sappy."

The attempted recording for "Nevermind" was posthumously released in the 2004 box set "With the Lights Out".

This song, along with "Drain You", "Come as You Are", and "Lithium", is played with the guitar tuned a whole step down.
