Koorkenchery

Koorkenchery is a district in the western part of Thrissur in Kerala state, South India. It is a major residential as well as commercial center of the city. "Sri Maheswara Temple" is situated here. The famous "Pooyam festival" is celebrated in this temple during the months of January and February. "Kaavadiyaattom" and "Ezhunnullipu" are the main events in the "Pooyam festival"
