Sebastian Szałachowski (pronounced Sebastian Shawahovski) (born January 21, 1984 in Lublin) is a Polish footballer who usually plays in midfield for Legia Warszawa. Szałachowski had a good start of the 2006/07 season until he was injured. His injury has lasted for over a year and was expected to return for the spring 2007/08 session. His injury lasted until close to the end of the 2007/08 season but didnt show full recovery, often having to sub out after a tackle or two on him. The start of the 2008/09 started very well for Szałachowski who found a spot in left midfield where he scored one goal in the league and scored two goals in the Uefa Cup 2008-09. While playing in the fifth league game against Cracovia Kraków he broke his leg and it is thought he will miss at least half the season.
