Joe Johnson (politician)

Joe Johnson (b. in Dublin, Georgia) is an American politician from the state of North Carolina. Johnson unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination [http://www.app.sboe.state.nc.us/cf_pdf/2004/STA656A5ZC001200420031113210000.pdf] for the position of North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction in the North Carolina Council of State election, 2004. He is currently (2008) seeking the Republican nomination for North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Johnson is currently the Director of Public Affairs at the Henderson County Sheriff's Office in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He lives in the city of Tryon. [ [http://www.policyleadership.org/the_chair The Policy Leadership Council - The Chair ] ]
