Tiers (Tires) ( _it. Tires; German: "Tiers"; Archaic (1080 AD): "Tires"; Latin: "Terra") is a "comune" (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 50 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 15 km east of the city of Bolzano "(de: Bozen)". As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 919 and an area of 42.1 km².All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.]
