Lovari is an American recording artist & actor.

Biography

Born in Queens, New York. Lovari attended Our Lady Of Lourdes Grammar School, Bayside High School, Queensborough College. In 2000, he appeared on The Jenny Jones Show. In 2002, his first single "These Tears" was released with Warlock Records. Due to Warlock's bankruptcy, Lovari's next project was held off until 2006. He released his debut CD via his own imprint Comida Mi Chocha Records.

In 2002, Lovari's debut single These Tears was featured on the dance compilation album (Warlock Records)

In 2006, after success on internet based stations and then a crossover into FM radio with All I Want Is You (which reached # 1 on Hot 96FM in Portland, OR), Lovari released his debut album. Self titled, Lovari was issued under his own label imprint, Comida Mi Chocha Records. Promotion for this album included The Passions Tour and several newspaper, magazine, internet, and radio interviews, including The Tribune (NY newspaper), The Courier (NY newspaper), Hot 96FM, 2DaGroove Radio, and SMP.

In 2008, Lovari began to work on his second album "The Statement".

Film

Lovari appeared as the cook in The Interpreter (2005), directed by Sidney Pollack and starring Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. He also appeared as a laugh-prone office worker in the musical comedy Sing Now Or Forever Hold Your Peace (2007), directed by Bruce Leddy.

Lovari landed his first major speaking role in the 2007 horror film, "The New York Strangler", as the role of Peter.

In December 2007, he announced the completion of his first script Shore Thing. It became his directorial debut and was accepted into The Coney Island Film Festival (Brooklyn, NY) in 2008. Lovari also plays the main character, Leo Geveese, who is investigating a series of shark attacks in unlikely areas.

Television

Lovari had brief appearances in the television shows
Gossip Girl, Love Monkey, Conviction, and Six Degrees.

Tour and Public Appearances

In 2006/2007, Lovari embarked on "The Passion Tour",a promotional show in support of his debut album. The show included both original and cover songs. Most performances were held on the East Coast.

Public performances include The Continental,Escuelita, Heaven, The Monster, Suede, Plan B, The NY Independent Film Festival, SITC Film Marathon, Gay Pride, Maddyfest: Madonna Tribute Concert

Trivia

His full name is Anthony Lovari

His fascination with sharks lead him to take classes to become an ichthyologist (the study of fish).

In 2007 & 2008, Lovari became the only artist in history to perform at 4 consecutive NY Pride events in a row.

Lovari is of Italian and Venezuelan descent.
