David Hart (actor) Born February 6, 1954
Marianna, FloridaDavid Hart (born February 6, 1954) in Marianna, Florida, is an actor best known for his portrayal of Sgt. Parker Williams on the hit television series In the Heat of the Night. He also appeared in numerous commercials including IHop Restaurants, Maxwell House Coffee, Coors Light Silver Bullets, John Deere, and GE. In addition, David has appeared in numerous films and continues to perform in theatre around the country, most recently performing as Charlemagne in "Pippin" and Oscar in "The Odd Couple".
His father Lloyd encouraged him to become an actor after seeing him perform in the play, "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" at Rutherford High School in Panama City, Florida. He is married and has three children. He donates his time to various charitable organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is a professing Christian - Episcopalian.
Hart recorded the song "Let it Snow" for the 1991 "In the Heat of the Night" Christmas CD "Christmas Time's A Comin'." He was joined on the recording by A-team Nashville studio pianist Hargus "Pig" Robbins. The song was produced by co-stars Randall Franks and Alan Autry.
