Gotthard massif, the Reuss runs from theUrserental and continues through theSchöllenen Gorge and under the legendary Devil's Bridge (Teufelsbrücke ) atSt. Gotthard Pass .It runs through
Lake Lucerne (German "Vierwaldstättersee") and the city ofLucerne , where a pioneeringneedle dam (just upstream from theSpreuerbrücke ) maintains the water level.It receives the
Kleine Emme fromEntlebuch at Emmen andLorze fromLake Zug atHünenberg . Near Bremgarten, the river is dammed formingFlachsee .The Reuss, the
