Cornell Lewis

Cornell Lewis is a black civil rights activist in Hartford, Connecticut, and pastor of the North End Church of Christ. He is the founder of the Men of Color Initiative, a group of men from the city's North End who escort children to school to protect them against violence. Lewis's advocacy has often been noted in the Connecticut media.

In August 2007 he criticised the Connecticut news media for what he considered an excessive focus on the Cheshire, Connecticut home invasion murders, rather than violence in Hartford.
