Elections for the 5th Saeima, the parliament of Latvia were held on 5 June and 6 June 1993, the first parliamentary elections in Latvia after its independence was restored in 1991.
23 political parties participated in the elections. The voter participation was 89.9%, with 1,118,316 out of 1,243,956 eligible voters casting votes. This was the highest turnout in Latvian history. Popular Front of Latvia, which was the ruling party before elections, received 2.6% of vote and did not win any seats in the parliament. The share of votes (32.4%) and seats in the parliament (36) won by "Latvian Way" is the highest in Latvian history.
