Dirk Sauer, born September 1, 1977, is the rhythm guitarist for the power metal band Edguy. He has been with the band since its initial days in 1992. He has never had songwriting credits for any Edguy material and very rarely plays lead guitar or any guitar solos for the band. Like fellow guitarist Jens Ludwig, Dirk endorses ESP Guitars and ENGL Amplifiers.
