Eraldo Monzeglio (
June 5 ,1906 –November 3 ,1981 ) was an Italianfootball (soccer) defender.Monzeglio was born in
Vignale Monferrato , in theprovince of Alessandria (Piedmont ).In his fifteen-year career, which lasted from 1924 to 1943, he played for Casale, Bologna (where he was victorious in the 1928-29 championship) and Roma. For the Italian national team he won two World Cup finals, in 1934 and 1938.
Monzeglio later became a coach, managing from 1941 to 1973 the teams of A.S. Roma, Pro Sesto, Napoli, Sampdoria, Juventus, Lecco and Chiasso, in
Switzerland . He died at 85 years old.References
