A Democrat, she is a member of theArkansas House of Representatives representing the state's 37th district based in downtown Little Rock.Webb was first elected to the legislature in 2006, winning the Democratic primary in the 37th district with over 56% of the vote in a four-candidate field. No Republican filed for the heavily Democratic seat so Webb won the general election unopposed.
