- Hiyono Yuizaki
Hiyono Yuizaki ("Hiyo-hiyo") is a character in the
anime . She is a second-year student at Tsukiyomi High School and is ajournalist for theschool newspaper . She is a very chipper intellect and rarely ever seems to be troubled by anything. She has habits of thrusting a pinkmicrophone on unsuspecting people, eavesdropping, and recording every bit of information, rumor, or gossip that comes to her ears. She is also shown to keep a tazer with her, which she will threaten people with (she once almost shocked Kousuke when he threatened to push her out the window). The
seiyuu for Hiyono in the Japanese version isMasumi Asano ; in the English version isCaitlin Glass .Relations with other characters

Ayumu Narumi is most likely Hiyono's best friend. She clearly has a lot of faith in him and basically follows him wherever he goes (often against his will) and doesresearch for him. Hiyono's true feelings seem a little forward at times; she once said "I want to marry him," although this was just a comment on his great cooking. After a while, Hiyono seems to grow more attached to Ayumu, never really leaving his side for awhile. It does seem Hiyono is in love with Ayumu, saying "Love never asks for anything in return" quite a number of times, and getting annoyed when Ayumu suddenly becomes popular. Another time, she tells Ayumu, "Even if the whole world turns against you, you're the strongest when you're with me...", Ayumu seems to take this to heart, and believes this.He also gives her an earring (he shares the other piece). However, in the manga near to the end, it was revealed that Hiyono wasn't a real person, but rather something Ayumu's brother placed beside him in order to crush Ayumu's will. Then Ayumu told his brother that he saw through it a while ago and succeed in defeating his brother. On his way back home, he meets "Hiyono" who looks much more mature with a professional business suit and cascading blond hair. "Hiyono" tells him that she has to go away for a year or two in Germany and they shook hands before parting. At the end of the manga series, we find Ayumu in the hospital, half of his body paralyzed. Hiyono comes to visit him and the manga ends with a scene of Ayumu playing the piano with his left hand and Hiyono standing beside him, listening to it.*
Madoka Narumi and Hiyono rarely interact. Madoka did not seem pleased when Hiyono crashed her apartment onChristmas , but she washungover at the time. Hiyono states that she "wants to be just like her," as a successful professional woman in a "man's world."*
Kousuke Asazuki is tentatively, as a Blade Child, an enemy to the protagonists, including Hiyono. However, as a rule, Hiyono does not typically harbor any noticeable animosity towards any character in the series. Kousuke doesn't seem to think much of her, as he does not seem to think much of anybody. Most conversations between the two involve many questions, sarcasm, and possibly a death threat.*
Rio Takeuchi and Hiyono share one primary goal; they both want Ayumu to "believe in God's abilities." However, Rio is one of the few Blade Children at whom Hiyono has ever truly gotten angry. The two rarely interact unaccompanied by other characters; in one of these few instances, their only interaction was Rio pushing Hiyono into the wrong train and when Hiyono takes a stolen lunch box (from Ayumu) to share with Rio.
