Filip Erceg (born 1979) is a Croatian
writer ,journalist and political scientist.Erceg was born in
Slavonski Brod , but lived hischildhood inBjelovar . He studiedPolitics at theUniversity of Zagreb . As astudent , he co-edited Hrvatska Ljevica and was a member of the Central Committee of the Socialist Labour Party (and later also the Vice-President of the party). He was a member of theeditorial board of the philosophicaljournal 11. teza ("Thesis Eleven") and is on the executivecommittee ofAugust Cesarec Foundation . Filip Erceg is one of the three main editors of a left-wing magazine in CroatiaNovi Plamen .Poetry
Erceg's
poetry is influenced by works ofMiroslav Krleža . He calls his styleAlter-Modernism .His first book is called "Krvav povoj rane" (2006) ISBN 953-95475-0-4. He has also written a book of political essays "Od socijalizma do pesimizma", published in 2008 by "Demokratska misao" publishing house.
He also published poetry and
short stories in several magazines including the leading Croatian literary journalKnjiževna republika (edited byVelimir Visković ), Balkan Literary HeraldBalkanski književni glasnik (edited byDušan Gojkov ) etc., and articles inVjesnik ,Novosti , Hrvatska Ljevica,Novi Plamen etc.ee also
