Itteringham

Itteringham

Itteringham [http://www.itteringham.com] is a small village and parish some 4½ miles northwest of the market town of Aylsham in North Norfolk, eastern England. Itteringham lies in the valley of the River Bure that eventually becomes a major part of the Norfolk Broads. The village has a fine gastro-pub, the Walpole Arms [http://www.thewalpolearms.co.uk] and a village shop [http://www.itteringham.com/buildings/shop/shop.html] . The converted watermill [http://www.norfolkmills.co.uk/Watermills/itteringham.html] is also a fine historical feature within the village.

The poet George Barker lived in the village and is buried in the churchyard.
