Michael Starytsky

Michael Starytsky (1840–1904), also known as "Mykhailo", "Mikhailo" and "Mikhail", was a Ukrainian writer and poet. He was the cousin of the famous Mykola Lysenko. He supplied a lot of information for the composer's biography. Starytsky wrote liberettos, songs, stories, dramas and poems.
