18 December 1919 -2 February 1987 ) was a British comic artist and writer. He began his career by drawing 'The Adventures of Fudge the Elf' for theManchester Evening News from 1938 to 1961 and in 1953 began work atD. C. Thomson & Co. Ltd .trips (D.C. Thomson)
