Anda Open is a
tennis tournament for women held inRamat Hasharon , a suburb ofTel Aviv ,Israel . It is a Tier IV event on the WTA Tour with total prize money of $145,000 and is played on outdoorhardcourt s. The tournament is named after the late wife of its chief sponsor,Henry Zimand , and organized byIsrael Tennis Federation .It was due to be held for the first time in
2006 , but was cancelled because of2006 Lebanon war , so the inaugural event should now be held on the week ofOctober 29 2007 .As of April 2007 the tournament announced that it will be cancelled for a further year and due to the 2009 Roadmap on the WTA Tour it looks unlikely that the tournament will ever be held.
