On October 10, 2005 the village of Tsugu merged into Shitara Town.

History

*September 30, 1956 - Shitara Town and Tsugu Village were founded.
*October 1, 2005 - New Shitara Town was founded by the unification of Shitara Town, Tsugu Village.
