Japan .As of
2003 , the town has an estimatedpopulation of 12,869 and a density of 494.20 persons per km². The total area is 26.04 km².Hazu is separated into 2 areas; Nishi-Hazu (west) and Higashi-Hazu (east). Each area has its own primary school. There are 4 railway stations, which are all run by
Nagoya Railroad Co., in Hazu. Because of the decline of customers, none of these station has an attendant. Two trains run every hour both ways from/toGamagori -Nishio . There is a theme park called "Aichi Kodomo no Kuni" (Aichi Children's Land). It is an isolated place but enjoyable for family excursions. The park is located in the mountain side and has a swimming pool, a camp, walking course, and a small zoo. The town is surrounded by both the sea and a mountain called Sangane-san. On the top of the mountain, there is a controversial shrine commemorating war criminals ofWorld War II , includingHideki Tojo .External links
