"The Captain of Her Heart" is a hit single for the Swiss duo Double in 1986. Taken from their 1985 album "Blue", the song is a gentle, sophisticated ballad featuring a melancholy, minor-key arrangement and plaintive lyric about a girl waiting in vain for her absent lover to return. Distinguished by its memorable piano motif, soprano saxophone, and smooth baritone vocals, the song was an international success (including in the United States) and has become a radio classic. It reached number eight in the UK Singles Chart and later reached number sixteen on the "Billboard" Hot 100.
